It's almost Christmas
How time passes by so quickly! There is another 8 more days to Christmas. 15 more days to the new year. 2010 has passed me by so quickly.
And, it's another 4 months to my solemnisation. And I have not even gotten into the details of it yet. LOL! Jer and I have kind of sorted out the photographer and we've confirmed out location. We will be going back to our secondary school to have a look about again, as the school has gone through some major renovations and such. The school looks so different from when I graduated. So we will be heading to look around and confirm the location where we want to hold our solemnisation. I also have to get around to going down to the shop at Centrepoint to check out the Cheongsums and ask for quotes on a MTM one (read: lazy).
Work has been crazy busy of late, due to the year end. It's like that when you're in the insurance industry. The agents are rushing to hit their targets, and are doing everything last minute. -_- Otherwise, I'm actually enjoying my time here. I've managed to do some underwriting, not alot but it is a start. =D
I'm eating a chocloate brownie now. =P
I was filming my video on Sunday, and after reviewing it, I'm going to film it again. I think I spoke too much. LOL!! And repeated alot of words. It's hard work filming this sort of video, trying to get in everything you want to say, and keeping it under 10 minutes. I really salute all those Youtube girls who put in so much effort in filiming and editing all those videos. You girls are the best!
Another half an hour more till I get off work... Not sure if I'll be able to go swimming later. It looks like it's going to rain anytime soon. And I'm feeling a little under the weather lately. I'm breaking out, getting puffy eyes every morning, 2 huge ulcers that don't seem to want to go away, and chapped lips as well. I think it's to do with not enough sleep and water. So it goes to show how important these two things are when it comes to your health. I'm trying to make up the water and sleep, as I've been too busy to be mindful of the amount of sleep and my water intake. And yes, I know that it's not good enough an excuse. And I've been on a spicy food lunch alot lately, and I think that is adding up to it as well.
Well, I'm going to bum around for abit more and then I can pack up and head on home. =P

My Skincare Routine
I thought to share my evening daily skincare routine, and let you guys know what I use on myself and how I like the products that I use.
Ok, so here goes... =D
I wear makeup on a regular basis, especially on work days. So before I get into washing my face, I have to first remove my makeup. And sometimes, my makeup can be rather thick on certain days. Especially mascara. I love using mascara and all my mascaras are of waterproof formulas. I use the L'oreal Eye Makeup Remover for waterproof makeup. I soak a cotton pad with the product and then gentle place it on my lids. Leaving them on for a minute or 2, gently patting the area as well. After which, gently wipe the lids and most of the eye makeup would have been removed already. Another gentle wipe or two and all of it would be gone. And I emphasize on the word gently, because the area around your lids are very delicate.
With the eye makeup removed, then I will use a makeup remover from Kose. Perfect Cleansing Oil. It's a japanese brand, and I like the texture of the oil. It's light and it works well in dissolving my makeup. All I do is gently massage the cleansing oil, in circular motions all over my face, avoiding the eye area, as that area is already cleansed. This cleansing oil formula can be washed off, but I prefer to wipe my face with a tissue or a cotton pad to remove the makeup.
Next, I wash my face with a facial cleanser. I use the Avene Soapless Foaming Gel. I love this gel formula. It's light and the best part of it is that it is soap free. And it cleanses really well too. After washing my face and drying it, I use a toner to tone my face and prepare it for whatever I'm going to put on later.
Frankly, I never was a toner user. Just so because I never believe what a toner does. It's supposed to be a second cleansing and to prepare the skin for the serums and moisturiser that you will be putting on later. In any case, ever since my HTB proposed, I have been pretty diligent with my skincare routine and have been going through with all the steps.
Anyways, back to my routine. I use the Avene Thermal Water Spray as my toner. It's a great product that does not contain alcohol. It actually is a facial mist, but it can be used for alot of other things as well. And I use it as a toner. I spray the product onto a cotton pad, pretty much soaking it through and gently go over my face and neck with it. With that done, my face would be somewhat wet, so what I do is use my fingers to pat the product in until my face feels dry.
After which, I move onto eye cream. I'm using the Avene Soothing Eye Contour Cream. Squeezing out a tiny amount on my finger, I gently apply it to the area around my eyes, and massage it, using circular motions. When I feel like the product is pretty much absorbed, using the same finger, I gently tap the lower lid area, as a gentle massage.
I know it's alot of steps, but it is considered pretty minimal, because I don't use any sort of serums and such.
Next up is the moisturiser. I have two types of moisturisers. One for day and one of night. For daytime, I use the Avene Light Hydrating Cream. This has SPF 20 in it, and I absolutely love this moisturiser. Mine's for normal/combination sensitive skin. They do have one for dry/very dry sensitive skin. This is absorbed by the skin very quicky, and even with the SPF in it, it does not feel greasy or sticky AT ALL. It's a great makeup base, coz if you're in a rush for time, you need not have to wait for your moisturiser to set into you skin. Thumbs up from me!!!
And for night, I use the Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturiser for combination skin. I was using this for day and night previously, before I discovered the Avene one. I liked that it did not feel to tacky after I applied it, but after Avene, I kind of feel like it is a little tacky for me. So I use it at night coz I feel it is a little heavier, which is great as a night moisturiser.
Then finally, I use a pore refining essence from Fancl, which is also a japanese brand. They make preservatives free products, which is why it is in a tiny tube. But it is enough for about three months, being used twice a day. All I need is a bean size amount and I apply to my forehead, nose, cheeks and chin. And anywhere else I feel like my pores are big.
And this concludes my daily skincare routine. I know it's alot, but I'm getting married soon, so I'm bucking up on looking after myself in general. And my complexion is one of those things, coz good complexion means lesser makeup in general.

Shopping for Christmas gifts and mini haul
Oh man.. It's back to work again tomorrow. The weekends are over already. Totally not fun..
Didn't do much this weekend, except for some Christmas shopping. I got a new pair of shoes from NewLook over the weekends (read: YAY!!!) and also some stuff for Christmas gift exchanges. It was amusing shopping with my sis for gifts, we were laughing out heads of thinking whom to give certains gifts to and what the person might think when they received the gifts. It was hilarious!
So right now, I have to find the time to wrap up the gifts. But yeah, I hope they'd be useful for whomever receives them. Coz I had a really hard time looking for generic gifts which were practical and for which both guys and gals can use.
Moving on... Jer and I met up with a photographer for our wedding on Friday. We like his photos and the videos done by him and his videographer. The total damage will be $3.5k. But yeah, we have yet to confirm him, but I think more or less we want him as our photographer.
Oh ya, Jer and I also recently went to Metro to do some shopping, coz his Dad has got this staff discount thingy going on. I got some stuff, not alot though, but ya, stuff that I need. I got a perfume, cleansing oil and mask from Kose, and toner from Murad for my sister. The rest of the stuff are samples given to us. Hehe.. See my haul below.

Busy busy day today
I've just ended a gathering with close friends at my place. They've left already and hubs and bestie are still here. My sister's friend is also still here. They girls are at a game of mahjong. Lol!
It has been a long day today. I went for complimentary slimming massage today, came home for lunch, wet on Youtube for abit, before heading out for dog training in the later afternoon. After which, came home to a house full of friends playing Wii.
The complimetary slimming massage, was painful. Extremely painful, and I kid you not on that. I actually have bruises on my arms now, which was the place I wanted them to focus on. But in all honesty, I feel like such massages are a sham. I mean, I'm being rubbed, pounded upon, pinched and poked, and then they show me the before and after measurements. I would think that the fats were loosened and then rubbed out evenly around my arm, which would then result in the smaller measurements after they were done torturing me. On the way back to the MRT statio, I got the raisin cream bread from Barcook Bakery for my sisters to try.
Came back and got lunch, then hung around at home, watching Youtube until it was time to head out for dog training. In that meatime, I painted my nails too. Love the colour, makes me feel so christmasy. =D
Brought Blackie along so we could let her ru in the dog run there. We bathed both dogs there too before heading home. Came home to my friends playing Wii. Handed a set of my house keys to HTB so he could come by earlier.
So yup, that was today. And I'm tired.
Went for my department's retreat at RWS over the last weekend. It was fun, but boring at the same time. LOL! I guess I can't make up my mind on how I feel about the retreat. One thing that I am very sure about, I'm never ever going to room with a certain colleague. It was horrible. Cut the log stor short, basically, she took my stuff to use without askig me, in my face I was annoyed as hell. But it's over, and I don't want to go into the details, but I'm definately not going to room with her anymore.
I've got a wedding to attend tomorrow eveing with my sisters and cousins. It's a common friend of ours, so we decided to attend it together. So, I'm currently doing my mask after exfoiliating my face. The mask feels warms on my face. Hmm.. But with the fan blowing at it, it feels kinda funky but cooling. Like a driking iced water while sucking on a mint. -P

After this mask, I'm probably going to sleep. Gotta get up early to accomapny HTB to Ikea to help pick out and carry some stuff for his work. And we're going to have lunch there.
Oh yeah! I got new items from MAC. I was contemplating on getting a lazy foundation. I had 2 choices. Wither the MAC studio fix or a foundation from Sephora. Eventually, I golt the MAC one. I was actually thinking of getting the Lancome or maybe an Estee Lauder. But there 2 are super hihg end and really ex, and I'm afraid that my skin will not agree with the products. Getting Sephora met having to head down to town to have a look, and I've been pretty tired and lazy too. So I went down to MAC to have a second look, and decided on the studio fix coz basically it was a full coverage foundation for oily/combination skin. This practically met my requirements. Something that I can use that was full cover, so I don't need to go through my routine of BB cream and pressed powder or loose powder when I'm in a rush, especially in the mornings.
I'm so excited to try this out on Monday. Lol!! And I got another eyeliner. Love love love the colour. It's deep purple, which can be used in the day. A pop a colour in my usual dailyroutine without looking too over done.
Yup, so that's all the updates for now. I'm not going to go through the work stuff and such. As for my wedding updates, do go to my wedding blog if you want to know what have me and Jer been up to on our preparations. But I can tell you guys one thing, there isn't any update at the moment. LOL!! But, I'll be updating that blog soon. The link to my wedding blog is in my favourites column.

Back from my short trip
I'm back!!!!
Jeremy's Dinner & Dance was ok. It was held at RWS, but the food was not at all fantastic. It was so-so only. Lol! After which, a bunch of us went to St James Powerhouse and we stayed there till about 2.30am and left. Too much booze, and I suffered a hangover for the whole moring drive and boat ride to the kelong. I slept from the moment after lunch till about dinner time, and then I could not really sleep at night. But I still slept anyways. =P
We left a day earlier because the fishing was pretty bad. The tide was not moving and we hardly caught anything. The only thing I managed to do was to catch up on my sleep. Lol!! But ya, otherwise it was considered a relaxing trip. I was practically like a pig. Eat and then sleep, then wake up to eat again, and not long after, sleep. LOL!!
We left a day earlier and guess where we ended up.. At Jusco! We left the kelong around 10 in the morning, then headed to a place for a Bak Kut Teh lunch, and then we went to Jusco for shopping. We practiacally left the place only around 10pm. Haha! We were there for more than half a day. I didn't get much stuff only a pair of shoes. =D I love my new shoes, coz they're like super cool. Me and my sister got the same shoes in the same colour. And we got a pair for my other sister too, coz she left after the lunch with my dad's friend, coz she had a meeting in the evening. Wait for the pictures ya?
It's Hari Raya today.. So SELAMAT HARI RAYA HAJI to all my muslim friends and readers out there!! Yay yay yay!!!
And on the down side, it's back to work tomorrow. SUCKS!
I don't think I have much a weekend this weekend, coz I have to be at RWS for a department thingy. You know those team bonding kinda thingy, which I honestly am not really in to. Even with the Universal Studio ticket dangling before me, easily for the fact that I've already been there. I'm thinking now how to get away as early as possible so that I can do my own stuff at home.
I'm dreading to go back to work tomorrow, coz I know I'll have apile of shit to clear. Which is the reason why I don't like to take leave when I'm working and I can practiacally not take any leave for a whole freaking year. But yeah, that's just me.
Anyhoots, I guess I'm done ranting for now. Lol!

Mask time!!!
I was just playing around with my eye shadow to practise and prepare for Jeremy's Dinner & Dance tomorrow. I tried going to the silver smokey look.
And usual me, poked my eye a few times while applying eyeliner on my waterline and while putting on false lashes and while putting on mascara. I'm going to try some other colours that I have and take some photos to see which I prefer to most. Make up does make difference. See photo below.
Even behind the glasses, you can see that there is a difference. My eyes look more defined. I'm only playing with eye shadow. Not full make up. I should do a before and after look. LOL!!
I found my favourite combinatio of colours and I need to get new lash glue. Almost kiled my lids with the one I had. Gross!! If not, I'll pile up on the mascara tmr! And I found a way to use my new MAC Tartan Tale eyeliner. Wootz! If I'm daring tmr, I might go for the warm smokey look instead of the silver/grey smokey look.
I've been watching Lisa Eldridge on YT recently. She's a makeup artist who does makeup for magazines and such. She's really good! I was watching her video on removing makeup. Interesting.. I will try it out one day.
Just out from the showers and doing a mask now. It's a mud mask from Fancl, a pore refining mud mask. I like this mask coz I only have to leave it on for 3 minutes. Yes, you read right. 3 MINUTES! And the best part of it, after the 3 minutes, you wash the mask off and you will see that your pores are cleaner. Now, I'm doing an eye mask. I feel like Bat Woman! With the serum dripping down my face. LOL!!! I think I have to literally lie down so it will stop dripping. It might drip down from the side though. Lol!

Here is the Fancl Sebum Care Pack. It packet is for a single use on your T-zone. It's supposed to be a thick mask, but you can make it thinnier and use it all over your face.
Here is the eye mask which I'm using now. It's a brand from Sasa. LOL! My sister and I went on a mask spree one day and got ourselves a buch of masks.
Anyhoots, I'm going to take off the mask very soon and head off to bed. IT's going to be a rush rush day tomorrow. Jer's meeting me at 11.30am for lunch, and then at 1730 to head down to Resort World for the Dinner & Dance. I'm going to wear black, even though the theme is red and silver. Bahahahahahaha!!!! Hopefully, I have time to do up the video I promised, coz no one will be home tomorrow during the day. Wootz! No one to disturb me.

First video - Raw Video
It's going to be Friday tomorrow!! Yaynessssss!!!!
Went swimming with my sister and Ye En earlier. The water was COLD!! Freaking cold!!!! A great reason to swim harder to warm up, I did 10 quick laps and I got out of there. The air was cool too, so it was freezing!! LOL! And now I'm aching all over. Feels great though!

And I was just having cake from Baker's Inn...
P/S The microphone is fantastic! It picked up every sound while I was recording the video. Great stuff for 10 bucks! But please do laugh your head off on the video! =P

I'm so happy!! I got my NYX cosmetics yesterday! Collected them from my cousin May. Wahahahaha!!!
I TRIED! I really tried to make a video of the haul but my dog was being a pain in the ass!! She kept runing around making alot of noise, and trying to eat the bowl of pomagranate on the table. I will try again with the video on Sat, when there's no one around at home, coz my Mum was shouting in the background, scolding my dog and grumbling about her pooing and all. I will put up the raw video, and embarrass myself. But I'll definately do a better one, together with the haul from Sasa and MAC.

New microphone.. Maybe a new camera?
I got a new microphone!! Yay! On the way to making videos! 
And the best part, this microphone cost me $9.90, and it it works a charm. It even picked up the sounds from the TV. LOL!!! And this is how it looks. It's pretty small.

So now that I'm fiddling with my web camera, I'm thinking to get a better one. The zoom on this camera is pretty lousy. Haha!! I do have a web camera though, I think I might try that first then decide again.
I think I might do my haul video this weekend when I have more time. LOL! Now I've to look for a program to edit videos and such. I'll probably work with Windows Movie Maker for the time being. But I'm not going to upload my videos onto YT. Haha!! I'll be so embarrassed.

Back from shopping @ Sasa
I'm just out from the showers with a mask on!
That's my horror picture...
Anyhoots, I met up wth my bestie Pris to have a look about at Sasa earlier this evening. I was looking for some new brushes. I got them with some other stuff, and MAC items as well. Haha.. I should have resisted, but the eyeliner colours were really really nice. I got sucked into it.. I almost wanted to get all the colours, coz they were all shimmery and bold and pretty. But I got the green and brown only. Maybe I should have gotten the blue too. I'll think on that one for abit before deciding coz the colour is really intense and bold.
Anyhoots! I got my brushes and some other nonsense. Hmm.. I'm looking at my picture above and it's pretty ugly. I look weird, for some reason.
I tried making a video on my haul coz it's much easier that taking photos, but I can't even hear my own voice. LOL!! I'll try again another day. Haha!!
So ya.. I gotta sleep now, coz it's back to work tomorrow. I'll try again with the video another day.

Updates!
Hi everyone!
I know it's been a long time since my last update, which was probably last year. LOL! Here I am, and I've been doing fine.
Not too much to update about work, coz well... Work is always the same. Forever busy, and forever just plain boring. Haha! I know there aren't many readers of my blog coz I want no updating frequently. I will try to, as much as I possibly can.
Updates.. Hmm.. I'll start with the latest things and work my way backwards.
Recently, I've been into makeup. Ok, I've always been into makeup and stuff, but I've never really gotten into putting them on or experimenting with them. So, I have been on a makeup spree of late, buying new stuff and trying out new stuff. Watching YouTube on makeup tutorials, even to the extend of ordering NYX cosmetics online with my cousin. I'm thinking like should I write about the stuff that I have bought and makeup put up some photos of the items and even looks that I've been doing for work and stuff. I mean, I'm not a makeup guru like those wonderful wonderful girls on YouTube, but I would love to share and ideas and tips that I personally use on myself. And even my makeup hauls. Which by the way, I might be dropping by Sasa later to get some new brushes.

Anyhoots! I found out that my the web camera on my lappy is pretty good. I ever got around to playing with my IT stuff, but yeah, I thought I try and viola! I've a got a pretty good camera, ad now I'm tempted to make videos. But again, I'm not like any of the vloggers on YT. It's a thought and I'm working on that.
Wedding preparations. Just in case you don't know, I am getting married next year. And the wedding preparations have sort of come to a standstill. Jeremy and I have been so busy with work lately that we have not gotten around to taking actions and that stuff which we have talked about and discussed. And just so you know, my solemnisation is due 24 April 2011, and it is already almost mid November. LOL! We are keeping our eyes opened for photographers and videographers. So yeah.. I need to get around to getting started my dress for the solemnisation.
Life. I guess is still pretty much the same. Haha! We lost Lucky a few months back to nose cancer. We had to put here down, coz it was pretty bad. And not a few weeks later, we got Cookie. Another cocker spaniel. She's a MONSTER!!!!! But she's really really adorable at the same time. Irony huh? And she's really smart too. Too smart for her own good sometimes. That's Blackie and Cookie.
